‘A toy a day keeps sadness away’
Toy Mela was organized on two days i.e. 16th March 2023 for (Grade 1&2) and 17th March 2023 for (Grade 3 to 6) at HMPS ICSE. The Toy Enthusiasts of ICSE presented and displayed a plethora of toys which showcased their innate talent. Students of all the classes executed the event with zeal and enthusiasm. They created, constructed and assembled their toys using different and distinctive waste materials (tin, plastic bottles, straws, paper cups, bottle caps, cardboard, etc). They portrayed copious skills such as -
The aim of conducting this major activity was to enhance the ability to think and imbibe the meticulous execution of their buddies to create these fun toys. It inculcated amongst the children the nuances of creation of ‘Best out of Waste’. It also enhanced their fine motor skills and inculcated the value of teamwork. Parents visited the Toy Mela and appreciated the efforts of the students and their teachers which boosted the confidence of the students. The students engaged with the parents with utmost precision and their perseverance reflected in the execution of the knowledge. The idea of Toy-based learning has strengthened the conceptual understanding in students of classes 1 to 6 which helped in holistic development, fostered creativity, imagination and enhanced the emotional quotient in students. The overall impetus of this learning was to ensure that learners are actively and joyfully engaged in the learning. Toy Mela was indeed a roaring success. The year ended on a positive note.
