Introduction to cyber security, ethical hacking, hacker evolution (Kevin Mitnick, Anonymous), good vs. bad hackers, internet workings, networking basics, cyber crimes, and Indian cyber laws. Students gain foundational awareness and explore career roles in cyber security.
Exploration of network security concepts, firewalls, malware protection, system hardening, Kali Linux setup, terminal basics, footprinting tools (whois, nslookup), and real hacking events (Sony Hack). Students learn network operations, security tools, and OS fundamentals.
Introduction to penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, ethical hacking concepts, enumeration, password cracking, keyloggers, social engineering techniques, and case studies (Twitter Bitcoin Hack). Students participate in controlled challenges to identify weaknesses.
Learning encryption fundamentals, secure communication, data protection, malware types (ransomware, spyware), lifecycle, signatures, SQL injection, XSS attacks, and hands-on labs (OWASP Juice Shop). Students work on encryption projects and analyze vulnerabilities.
Application of skills through comprehensive security audits, incident response simulations, final projects, advanced Wireshark usage, pen test lab setup (Kali/DVWA), cyber law deep dive, and assessments (CTF/viva/theory). Students present findings to real-world scenarios.
